Welcome to Destin

Known as the “World’s Luckiest Fishing Village,” Destin has evolved from a sleepy fishing village to a modern and bustling tourist destination, yet despite its rapid growth, Destin has maintained its unique charm and reputation as a world-class fishing destination. Destin’s roots date back more than 150 years when Leonard Destin from Connecticut stumbled upon the area. He found the harbor hospitable and the fish plentiful and ended up settling in Destin with his family who still lives there today. Because of Destin’s location on the East Pass, the Choctawhatchee Bay’s main connection to the Gulf, Destin is an ideal area for boating, fishing, watersports, and beach combing for both visitors and locals alike.

Destin’s real estate offers a variety of options from the beach to the bay and everything in between including residences in modern high-rise condominiums and single-family homes. Homes in private enclaves and gates communities are plentiful and can provide residents with highly-desired amenities, a sense of space and security, as well as stunning interior views of lagoons and bayous.

No matter the desired lifestyle or locale, Destin offers beauty, centrality, and proximity to water almost every price point.
